Blog 18: Fourth Interview Preparation

EQ: What is the most important aspects of television production in order to influence viewer emotion?


  1. What are the ways that you are able to captivate viewer emotion through television?
  2. How do TV shows captivate your emotion? 
  3. When do you use certain shots while filming in order to get the most emotion out of it?
  4. How do you think TV and emotion relate to each other?
  5. How can lighting be used to create emotion?
  6. In what ways have you used lighting before to create emotion?
  7. Do you capture more emotion when filming something live or when something is edited?
  8. What role does editing play in TV production?
  9. Would you say that editing is a huge part when it comes to creating emotion? If so why?

Blog 6 - Second Interview Preparation

The purpose of the second interview is to justify your mentor as an expert in the field.  Thus, you will be asking them at least 5 questions about their background and/or the background of the organization or company where they work.

1.  Who is your mentor and where do they work?
  • My mentors name is Edgar Avendano, and he works at Guadalupe Radio. 
2.  What five questions will you ask them about their background?

  • As a child what is it that made you choose the career path that you are currently in?
  • Who/ what had the most influence on you while getting to where you are now?
  • Did you have any interest in high school with what you are currently doing?
  • If you where to choose someone during your high school years as a mentor who would it be? Would this person change as the years go on? 
  • When you where younger did you work on any projects that made you think "I want to do that when I'm older"?
