Extra Blog: September

What have I been up to?
  • In the month of September I went to two events. One being the Congresso de Hombres and the other at the Cathedral. For the congresso I spent my time working the camera and audio. I was also making sure that people where on air at the correct time that they where suppose to be at. When I went to the Cathedral I spent my morning helping out with one of the live shows. After we finally got to the Cathedral I spent my time scouting people that wanted to be on the show that day. Overall these where to of the main events that  I helped out in during the month of September.

Blog 6 - Second Interview Preparation

The purpose of the second interview is to justify your mentor as an expert in the field.  Thus, you will be asking them at least 5 questions about their background and/or the background of the organization or company where they work.

1.  Who is your mentor and where do they work?
  • My mentors name is Edgar Avendano, and he works at Guadalupe Radio.
2.  What five questions will you ask them about their background?

  • As a child what is it that made you choose the career path that you are currently in?
  • Who/ what had the most influence on you while getting to where you are now?
  • Did you have any interest in high school with what you are currently doing?
  • If you where to choose someone during your high school years as a mentor who would it be? Would this person change as the years go on?
  • When you where younger did you work on any projects that made you think "I want to do that when I'm older"?

Blog 5: Mentorship and Research Reflection

1. Mentorship question: Describe your experience in how you found your mentorship?  If you haven't found one yet, describe your experience so far in the search of a mentor.
  • It wasn't really hard to find my mentor since I had already known him. So all I did was ask him if he could be my mentor and he said yes. The harder part was having the TV station approve of me being there, either than that I would say my search for a mentor was not that complicated.
2. Research question: What has been your most important article you have read so far and why?
  • The most important article I have read so far would be my first one. It gave me an idea of what TV was like when it was developing, not only that but it showed different techniques that where used before to get the images running as oppose to what we have currently which is more advanced.

Extra Blog: August

Hello welcome to my blog!(:  So what do I do for mentorship? If you haven't  noticed yet my senior topic is TV production. Normally when I get to mentorship I usually help out around with things that need to get done weather it be looking for images or watching videos to take down the times for 11 minute blocks. Sometimes I also help film some of the TV shows. If we are having events I usually help out by working the audio and the camera. Below I am, going to put some pictures of the different things that I've done throughout mentorship.(:
